Fall SWAC 2025

Our Fall Supper With a Cause was a huge success! We raised enough funds to purchase two mobile chicken houses that will double our flock of laying-hens at McKinney Roots. It will also allow us to increase the health of our soil using regenerative chicken raising methods. We currently produce 8,000 dozen eggs annually and look forward to producing 16,000 dozen eggs in the future. Protein is one of the most asked for items from our distribution partners and we’re so thrilled that we’re going to be able to fulfill that request due to the support of our donors.

We kicked off the evening with a presentation by Rick Wells, Foundation President, and Chef Andrea Shakelford, Seed Project Foundation Board Member.

Artist, Kim Guthrie, wowed the crowd with her vibrant works made with real flower seeds and natural elements.
