Spring SWAC 2025

We had a fabulous time at Harvest at The Masonic for the Spring Supper With a Cause 2025. The evening was a fundraiser for the reconstruction of the McKinney Roots hydroponics Greenhouse that took on high wind damage on March 5th.

Rick Wells, Founder and President of the Seed Project Foundation, spoke about the importance of the greenhouse to the community and the urgency of the reconstruction. The greenhouse produces 15,000 heads of nutritious lettuce annually and one hundred percent of that is donated to those in need in our community.

Tucker Nickols, Farm Director, and Charlie Hartmann, Farm Manager spoke about the greenhouse recovery efforts.

Chef Andrea Shackelford curated an amazing meal complete with Oysters, a savery salad, Pork Tenderloin, Rosewood Beef Chateaubriand, and a peach custard pie.

Andrea Holmes was the artist of the month and displayed her signature “bird” artwork for the attendees to enjoy.
